Jinni achieves ISO 9001 certification: a milestone built on teamwork

Introduction

Jinni S.r.l., Digital & Web Agency of Biella, a reference point for the development of digital and vibe coding projects in the area, has obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, issued by Bureau Veritas.
A result that stems from a structured path, aimed at strengthening and consolidating our way of working. It was not a simple adaptation to a standard, but an in-depth analysis and review of workflows, with the aim of making them even clearer, more efficient and more consistent.

What is ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is an international standard that defines the requirements for a quality management system. It is the most widespread reference globally for organizations that want to structure their processes in an effective and controlled way.
In concrete terms, ISO 9001 is based on some fundamental principles:

  • Clear definition of business processes
  • assignment of responsibilities
  • monitoring of activities and performance
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • Continuous improvement
  • Training and involvement of people

A central element of the standard is also represented by audits, i.e. periodic checks that serve to check that the processes are really applied, effective and consistent with what has been defined.
Adopting this standard therefore means working with a structured method, subjected to constant controls, in which each activity is part of an organized, measurable and quality-oriented system.

The value of the path

In our case, the path has resulted in the definition of structured procedures, the analysis and review of workflows and greater alignment between the different business areas.
A central aspect was also that of internal training: sharing the method, making processes clear and making sure that each person in the team was aligned with the objectives and operating methods.
This was accompanied by work on audits, both internal and external, which represented fundamental moments of verification and comparison. Not just formal controls, but concrete opportunities to identify areas for improvement and further strengthen the system.
Behind the certification there is therefore real work, built over time and shared by the whole team.
The course required an in-depth analysis of the company’s activities, with the aim of:

  • clearly define processes
  • structure consistent operating procedures
  • improve coordination between different areas
  • make activities more traceable and monitorable
  • Strengthening skills and awareness through training
  • Continuously verify and improve through regular audits

This work has led not only to obtaining the certification, but also to greater internal awareness and an even more effective working method.

Interview with Roberto – COO & RSGI

To learn more about the significance of this milestone, we involved Roberto, Jinni’s COO and Head of the Integrated Management System (RSGI).

What did this path represent for Jinni?
“It was a concrete path, which led us to analyze our way of working in a structured way. We didn’t start from scratch: we already had a solid approach, but the certification gave us the opportunity to tidy up, better define the processes and make them clearer and more shared.”

What was the most significant aspect?
“Definitely the involvement of the team. Everyone’s commitment was fundamental, also from the point of view of training and sharing the method. It was an experience that helped us grow also at an organizational level.”

What changes today, after certification?
“Certification is not a point of arrival, but a tool. It allows us to work even more methodically, better monitor activities and continue to improve over time, while maintaining a high focus on quality.”

Why did you choose Bureau Veritas?
“We chose Bureau Veritas because it is an internationally recognized body. We wanted a serious and rigorous verification process, which would give real value to the path we were facing.”

Quality is not declared: it is built, measured and verified every day.

Looking to the future

ISO 9001 certification provides a solid foundation on which to continue to build.
The path taken does not stop here: Jinni is already oriented towards the next goal, obtaining ISO 27001 certification, dedicated to information security management.
A natural evolution, which further strengthens the focus on data protection, access management and information security, elements that are increasingly central to digital projects.
